Modification of residence authorizations for self-employment

PROCESS DESCRIPTION:

It is a temporary residence and self-employment authorization that can be obtained by a worker who is in Spain for at least one year in a residence situation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have been at least one year in a residence situation. Exceptionally, they may request the modification without the expiration of a period of one year, when a need to work due to supervening circumstances can be proven to guarantee their subsistence.
  • Lack of a criminal record in Spain.
  • Not being prohibited from entering Spain and not appearing as rejectable in the territorial space of countries with which Spain has signed an agreement to that effect.
  • Meet the requirements that current legislation requires for the opening and operation of the planned activity.
  • Possess the required professional qualification or accredited experience, sufficient in the exercise of the professional activity, as well as, if applicable, the association when required.
  • To be able to prove that the planned investment is sufficient and the impact, where appropriate, on job creation.
  • To be able to prove that it has sufficient financial resources for its maintenance and accommodation, after deducting those necessary for the maintenance of the activity.
